Bunny & Clyde came about when three of four friends fell pregnant virtually simultaneously and the prospect of new babies tickled their imaginations, and so two of them began creating designs for their dream nurseries. After about a year of refining designs, prototypes were made and the dream became a reality.

WHO ARE WE?

Behind the name are Mariëtte Bergh, and sisters,
Lisa Vos and Nathalie Vos. We all share a background in Art and Design. The brand was born and founded in South Africa but we love what we do so much that we had to share it with a wider audience. Nathalie lives in Ireland and so 2015 has seen the arrival of Bunny & Clyde to European shores.

Our concept is inspired by design-led sustainability and a nostalgic love of passing down from generation to generation; this is reflected in our designs and remembers eras gone-by to pass on to our own children.

WHAT WE DO

Bunny & Clyde design and manufacture exclusive heirloom quality solid wood cots and nursery furniture. Designed to be as socially and environmentally responsible as it is beautiful, each piece is built to last for generations of use. Our designs are elegant, timeless and convertible so that their function extends beyond the nursery and into your home.

At Bunny & Clyde we love the intrinsic beauty of wood and we insist on natural finishes that enhance that beauty. We are very strict about quality, safety, and sustainability. All of our wood is FSC certified as being responsibly sourced from sustainable forests. We do not believe that anyone should be exposed to harmful chemicals – all of our sealants and paints used to finish out products are 100% solvent free and non-toxic. We adhere to British Safety Standards to further ensure that everyone can sleep soundly knowing that baby is safe.

Bunny & Clyde follows a philosophy of local manufacturing. We are committed to helping to sustain and revitalise small businesses, communities and woodworking traditions most local to us. All of our products are locally manufactured either in South Africa or Ireland; products for Africa are made in South Africa; products for Europe, are made in Ireland.

Our designs are all made-to-order and impeccable local craftsmen with decades of experience expertly and lovingly hand craft each item.

We hope you will love and enjoy your purchase for many years to come.
